12 Serene Flat With a Terrace and a Minimal Touch

The clients – a couple with two children – wanted to give great prominence to the terrace, turning it into a space to relax, read outdoors or enjoy lunch and dinner in the company of their loved ones. Living in a house with a terrace in Madrid is a real luxury. Well, actually, it is a privilege in any city, but in the capital it is often sunny, and that makes the terraces in highly sought after spaces both in summer and winter (a blanket on top, a good coffee and goodbye to the cold).

The house that we show you today is located in the southern area of Retiro, in an urbanization projected by Fernández de la Hoz with a very modern and unique building. In it, the houses stand out for the large windows and the aluminum sheets that reflect the light from all corners.

The owners – a couple with two children – wanted to give great prominence to the terrace, making it a perfect space to relax, read outdoors or enjoy lunch and dinner in the company of their loved ones. In addition, they wanted the house to be comfortable, warm and elegant, decorated with design pieces, following the line marked by the urbanization.

Regarding the distribution, the only area that was modified was the hall, eliminating the doors and access to the kitchen and installing a sliding iron door to give the entrance more space and light.
