NATURAL FLOWERS, PRESERVED OR FRESH?
All are natural, but the fresh ones you already know that they will last you in a vase with water between 7 and 10 days (depending on the species of flower they can last a little less or a few days more). Preserved flowers are natural varieties that dry and look as beautiful as when they were fresh. The great thing about preserved florets is that you don’t have to put them in water and they will last much longer than fresh flowers. You are going to see here a bouquet of beautiful preserved hydrangeas that is gorgeous.
HOW TO KEEP FLOWER BOUQUETS
To preserve a bouquet of flowers, it is essential that you change the water every two days at most. If you add nutrients to the water (florists can provide you with sachets of nutrients ) they will keep for longer but you still have to change the water in the vase frequently.
Each time you change the water to the flowers with a pruning shears, cut a centimeter from each stem as it tends to degrade over the days. Spraying water on the flowers also helps them stay fresh for longer, but be careful not to get them out of the sun. The drops of water have a magnifying effect and can damage the petals.
Some florists have a subscription service, and in the same way that if you subscribe to a magazine to receive it at home each month, you can receive at home a bouquet of seasonal flowers (monthly or biweekly), a perfect solution to have at home always bouquets of flowers with the selected species of the season and bouquets composed by professionals.
