20+ Tiles and Pavements for Terrace/Exterior

Tiles and Pavements for Terrace Exterior

Outdoor tiling or paving? Both lend themselves perfectly to a charming terrace, pleasant to live on a daily basis. Among their strengths, these two floor coverings come in many shapes and colors, are resistant to the passage of time and also offer non-slip properties suitable for outdoor installation. Wood effect for an authentic look, stone tone for a natural style, concrete print for an ultra-contemporary terrace, in small or large format… Selection of 20 tiles or pavings that will make your terrace the fifth room in the house.

What coating to put on the terrace? Tile or paving, you will choose according to the desired design, but also the budget and the expected performance in terms of maintenance or resistance over time.

Thus, the tiling, with affordable prices starting at around 15 euros per m2 but which can go up very quickly depending on the technicality of the model, is an excellent choice for outdoors. It is perfectly resistant to bad weather, displays good durability over time, installs quickly and above all requires almost no maintenance. Most of the models offered by the brands are in porcelain stoneware. The star of the tiles is low porous, does not freeze and is resistant to stains, mold and UV. And with it, thanks to new printing techniques, anything is possible. It perfectly imitates wood, stone, concrete… For a terrace with natural accents at a lower price than with natural stone, for example…

Do you prefer natural stone paving and authentic cachet for a charming terrace? Travertine, Bluestone, Granite, there are many choices and formats available to you, but the prices are higher, with natural stone paving at prices ranging from 30 to 200 euros per m2. In its favor, its resistance to any test: natural stone is robust, naturally non-slip and some even resist frost, for laying glued on concrete slabs or on studs.

The right price/quality compromise? Opt for a reconstituted stone coating made from concrete and minerals, the reconstituted stone slab is glued to a concrete slab or laid on a bed of sand. It is non-slip and frost-resistant for a terrace that can be used all year round and its color is unalterable over time, all for average prices of 20 to 80 euros per m2.
