Want to make a room in the house look bigger than it actually is? Learn the main tricks that decorators use.
1. BUY PARTS WITH STORAGE
When selecting furniture for the home or room, always try to consider what a piece of furniture or decorative piece can have as a function. In this case, ideally, the more versatile the furniture, the better. For example: opting for an ottoman with storage is better than purchasing just a side table.
2. PAINT THE SPACE IN LIGHT TONES
Dark colors make spaces smaller. The lighter the color, the larger the division will appear. Creams and pastels are great for brightening a small room.
3. INCLUDE MIRRORS
Mirrors are excellent for adding dimension to a room. Placing a mirror in a strategic location, such as on the wall at the end of a door, conveys a feeling of infinity.

Anything that folds, shrinks or is removable is a great solution for a small space. Choosing a dining table that can become smaller, or a bench that can be arranged under the table, are very smart solutions to keep a small, spacious space.
6. CHOOSE A MONOCHROMATIC PALETTE
Painting the walls, ceiling, doors, frames, baseboards and paneling in the same monochromatic tone (the same color in different tones) is excellent to give dimension to the room. Using white and two tones of beige is an elegant and spacious solution.
7. ADD INTEREST TO THE CEILING
Adding interest to the textured ceiling or with a decorative element can also be a good way to make a room bigger, in addition to drawing the eye to the ceiling, not just the room, it adds interest to the fact that a ceiling is just White.
8. ENJOY THE OUTDOOR SPACE
If you can give a perspective to the place, do so. An uncovered window does not restrict the gaze so much to the division, as it continues until it reaches the next object, which may well be outside. If you have a nice garden, view or balcony, don’t hide it with the curtains.
